Un día como hoy, el Rey, abandonó su cuerpo físico pero su esencia ectoplásmica perdura luego de 32 años.

Se dice que alguien realmente desaparece cuando se le olvida, cuando ya no se le menciona. Este no es el caso de Elvis, por siempre recordado.

El primer video es un homenaje total de Cher versionando un tema original de Marc Cohn que recuerdo sonó mucho. Es genial aquella línea: Saw the ghost of Elvis on Union Avenue,Followed him up to the gates of Graceland...

El otro video puede ocasionar un ataque al corazón si sólo se escucha ;-) ¿Elvis cantando temas que surgieron años después de su muerte? ¿Quién lo ha invocado? Se trata nada menos que de un irlandés que al principio de su carrera sólo se hacía llamar como The King, pero al cabo del tiempo reveló su nombre real: Jim Brown. Una de su virtudes (quizá la mejor) es que si bien tiene la voz idéntica al Elvis ya maduro, al Elvis de los '70, jamás ha interpretado ninguna de las canciones del repertorio clásico del Rey. Y ahí radica su originalidad y la razón de las muchas facturas que hospital que le han de llover por masivos ataques al corazón ;-)
