Melodía caótica acompañada de una letra que escupe furia por los cuatro costados.

Procede de la época del álbum Pornography pero no está demasiado claro su origen :P Al hacer un rastreo por la red, hay opiniones varias y no se define el origen real de esta canción cuyo título original es All Mine, aunque en algunos sitios la identifican como Forever.

Seventeen Seconds fue el segundo álbum de The Cure publicado en 1980. Se dice que a finales del año siguiente, la banda cerraba la mayoría de sus conciertos con un tema titulado Forever que en su mayor parte era improvisado y digamos que hasta reinventado en cada presentación. En algún lado leí que estaba basado en la canción Three.

Buscando el video por youtube, es posible que el lío aumente como si se tratase de una pequeña bola de nieve que termina siendo un gran alud :P La mayoría de las versiones de Forever son en directo, la mayoría de ellas con pésima calidad de audio donde apenas se distingue la dicción de Mr. Smith, muchas veces tirada a la mierda en pro de una reverberación que podría resultar cansina. La mayoría de las versiones datan de principios de los 80's, aunque hay algunas de años recientes. En varias, el autor del video asegura que en las interpretaciones en directo, Forever se unía o se complementaba con All Mine. En el mítico cassette conocido como Concert: The Cure Live, la primera grabación de un directo de la banda producida en 1984, tenía como lado B, una grabación doble de rarezas grabadas entre 1977 y 1984 titulada Curiosity (Killing the Cat): Cure Anomalies. En esta, aparece All Mine, que en 2005 fue incluida en la remasterización del álbum Pornography.

Para finalizar, en algunos sitios se asegura que se trata simple y llanamente de All I had to do is kill her que es el lado B del bootleg del tema M :/

Puffhh, luego de todo este rollo, creo que no queda más que decir que este es un tema que me encanta con todo y su atmósfera caótica y muy pero que muy oscura ;-)
